NEET 2020: Exam pattern, Question format, and Expected cut off

NEET 2020: NEET 2020 exam will be conducted on September 13, 2020, If you are going to seat for the NEET exam, you need to know the basics of NEET 2020. Here we are to give all the updates.

Students must go through the exam patterns, question format and what would be the cut off for 2020. After several postponements, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will finally conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 on Sunday, 13 September 2020. The test will be in offline mode with a time duration of three hours.

NEET 2020 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern is designed in such a way to select the best candidates for the medical and allied courses. Therefore, aspirants need to understand each detail of the question paper in order to crack it. Also, an OMR sheet will be given to mark their responses.

Some important points –
1. The question paper consists of 180 questions and each question carrier four marks. The exam will be in multiple-choice questions in Physics, Chemistry with 45 questions each, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) with 90 questions. There is also a negative marking for every wrong answer.
2. There are four marks given to each correct answer and an incorrect answer gets a negative one mark, which will be calculated in final marks.

NEET Cut Off

NEET 2020 Cutoff will be declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The cutoff varies for each category. Candidates who belong to the general category, the NEET cutoff percentile will 50th and for OBC, SC, and ST candidates, the qualifying percentile would be 40th and for the UR PH category, it would be 45. This, however, does not mean 50 per cent. It simply means that of the total students who have appeared for the exam, candidates have to score more than 50 per cent of them.
